Mia and I pass on our condolences and are sad to see the passing of this spritely lass who always had a sparkle in her eye, cheery note in her voice and razor sharp mind that everyone wanted on their Trivial Pursuits Team. Our thoughts are with you Margaret and Sam and although not in the UK, we both wish you well during these trying times and send our love.

It feels difficult to find the proper words to express my memories with Irene. She was our address with Sam for the Christmas-eve walk and a brandy with her after which Sam and I would fall asleep on the couch; visit her wonderful neighbours and drink cherry all together; my unique Christmas night playfellow at Margaret's place. Dear Irene, I was very fond of you and I miss you.
